One of the first criteria asked for was that a wheelchair user would be able to visit the catio. So glad to have had the pressure to think up a low-profile entrance!

One of the design challenges for this catio was that the window would need to open into the space, but the cats would sometimes need to have restricted access. Little drawbridges provide access, but also close up if the kitties need to stay inside.
We had to make do with a tarp roof for a little while but it literally weathered the storm :)
Sometimes catios can also be Humanios! Who knew?
